Born and raised in Porsgrunn (Telemark), but has lived most of his adult life in Oslo and Asker, Norway.

Per Jacob works as a primary school teacher, but he is also involved in several projects related to teacher training at Oslo Metropolitan university.

He plays keys, and has played the piano since he could walk. He has music as a very active hobby and is involved in several bands and projects in various genres. Has also been orchestra leader in musical shows and theatre productions for many years.

Per Jacob has an absolute ear and likes to find a good mood and sound in the music. His contribution to Popkanon includes excellent keyboard and piano skills, enhancing the softer Popkanon sounds as Per Jacob gets the right balance between the melodic rythms and flows to releases such as Evening Glow and Regrets.
